Finding Routes
Discovering new places to ride is easy on RideDog. With our route search features, you can find just the route you're looking for, and with multiple options for taking the route information along on your ride, you'll always know your way.
- Target your search to as broad or narrow a geography as you want. Search by country, state or region, city, postal code or specific street address.
- Our routes are categorized by type, including road, mountain bike and cyclocross, so you can find rides that suit your riding preferences.
- Match rides to your abilities by searching on distance and elevation gain as well as technical and aerobic rating.
- Find the most popular routes using the overall review rating as a guide, and be sure to review the rides you've ridden to help others find the best.
- View detailed route information, including elevation profiles, distance, and technical and aerobic ratings.
- Download routes directly to your Garmin GPS device, or download a GPX file for use with other devices.
- Print ride maps, complete with notes, elevation profile and route details to take along in your jersey pocket or saddle bag.
Mapping Routes
RideDog depends upon the cycling community to build our ride database. No one knows the best rides better than local riders. That's why our site was designed to make it easy for anyone to add to our route catalog using our custom route mapping tools. If you're a cyclist with knowledge of your local trails and roads, help your fellow cyclists and share your knowledge now!
- Use our custom route mapping feature to map your favorite road rides. With the follow roads options enabled, you'll have your favorite route mapped with only a few clicks of the mouse.
- See elevation profile information in real time as you map your route with data provided by geonames.org.
- Import tracks directly from your Garmin GPS device. Don't have a Garmin? No problem. We can also import GPX files exported from your preferred GPS device.
Sharing Routes
Finding new places to ride is great, but sharing your route discoveries and creations with your friends is even better. However you choose to share with your riding group, RideDog makes it simple.
